Spring Break - part two

Now with everyone back to school, here is what we did for the rest of spring break.

We went to Burnaby's Heritage Village Museum
and had unlimited carousel rides!

Graham went into the refurbished tram at the village.  It was all renovated
by a senior's group.  There was an interesting talk about the tram system
in Vancouver.

We poked our noses into every corner of the village.  Despite the
rain it was a lot of fun.

We visited our former neighbour at her carehome nearby.  We brought our crayons.
Although she doesn't remember the kids and me, she loves children, and
I remember how much she loved visits from Lindsay.

We love playing ticket to ride and Graham is getting so good at it.
It's a fun game.  You have to try and make your trains get across old Europe.

See how wiggly it is.  It wasn't that wiggly until Baden
jumped up on her because he was so excited when we
picked him up from his groomers.  Gave it a bit of a bash.
Oh well, he gave it a head start.

The tooth fairy came and glittered up her pillow!  She bought Skittles with
her loonie!

This is the way we felt at the end of Spring Break!

Birthday Boy

Let me just start by saying that this will be the only birthday for Baden we will go all out for.  It's spring break and we had to keep busy doing something!  Here are a few photos from the preparations to the party.  We did plan to hand out the homemade cookies at the dog park, but it rained on us!

The cake is for the adults and kids.  The cookies were for the dogs.

A birthday kiss from Purdy.  Chocolate kisses are the best.

Spring Break.........Halfway Through

More time in the morning means "Scones for Breakfast"

A trip to the library is always fun.  We went to a different branch.  You can tell by the amount of books they have that this is a wealthy area, or they have a large number of people using the library.  Lindsay had a hard time choosing what to bring home!

A visit to kids books near our house

I have no idea!  This is why we need to keep busy during our break.  Graham captured this drama, or maybe it was a comedy.  I'm not sure.

A certain almost one year old got groomed!  Handsome boy!

Graham hosted his first sleepover.  The ones he had with the girls (neighbours) don't count. They're like family!

Whew!  Halfway done!

I'm now a movie critic.........

Watched this on digital on demand last night.  I think it's available on DVD as well.  It was really good, something different than a chick flick.  It was a cool story, true as well.

Sleepover Week............

also known as Spring Break!

Spring Break started off with a sleepover with our favourite chocolate labrador, Purdy (note the chocolate connection). She's here for four days while her people are Seattle.

Graham is having a sleepover here, something that he has concocted with his cub buddies.  It's his first one, so he's excited.  Four nine and ten year old cubs, yay, I'm so excited.

They'll be also doing one at Grandma and Grandpa's, now that they live minutes away and Graham knows how to dial home and 9-1-1.

Watch out for spring break happenings.  We have lots planned.  Even a birthday surprise for a certain one year old!

I did a little trade...........

I made some crocheted and knitted hats for someone who was looking for some props for her photography business.  In return she is giving me a free photo session for my kids.  Here is one of the hats.  A bit big, but still cute!

Here are some other ones I took pics of before I sent them off.

Graham had his soccer wind-up tourney in Cloverdale today.  The 2010 Olympic Winter Mascots were on hand to give big hugs to.  Lindsay loved them!

WAY BACK WEDNESDAY

This is one time I didn't have to bear the torture of curlers apparently.  I guess though that my mom got frustrated with my long hair because the next portrait I have a 70's shag.  I will reveal that pain next Wednesday.  It's hideous.  I think my mom did it herself!

PS - yes, that is my brother.  I think you can almost see a mustache growing.  He so got the Italian side of the family.  I'm glad I got the Norwegian.  Except for the nose.
